Autumn Season 2010

Men's 5-on-5 Leagues: Season Tips-Off Tuesday September 14th. 2010

 

At the ABA we provide the casual player like yourself the opportunity to play in a league setup and organized like the professional leagues.  We also provide weekly stat leaders, game stats, season stats, weekly previews, weekly standings & rosters of each team. Whether your game is at the cream of the crop or the bottom of the barrel we've got the league for you. You can choose to play during the week or on the weekend.

 

All games played at the: American Sports Center in Anaheim California

16 full length high quality indoor courts + electronic scoreboard + professional (SAM) portable basketball goals

Game Times Weeknights (7:00pm-10:00pm)    Weekends (12pm-4:30pm & 3:00pm-9:00pm)  Two shifts to choose from

Season 8 regular season games    Post season playoffs: (to qualifying teams)

Awards Division Champion Shirts + Final Four Shirts + League Championship Shirts + Free Entry into next season

 

We offer four leagues to choose from

  Days of play
Valley League: recommended for the average / competitive player Tuesdays / Thursdays / Sundays
Horizon League: recommended for the recreational player Tuesdays / Thursdays / Sundays
Patriot League: recommended for the novice player Tuesdays / Thursdays / Sundays
Independent League: 30 & Over Sundays only

 

Team Rosters: Age, Asian Status / Non-Asians & Height Restriction
All players must be 18 years of age or older to play. Any player under 18 years of age will be removed from the league immediately. A 6-foot 2 inch height restriction (without shoes) shall apply to all Non-Asian. The ABA reserves the right to measure any player at any time during the course of the season. Any non-Asian over the restricted height limit will be removed from the league immediately.

 

Asian: is any player who is a native of Asian decent from Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, North / South Korea, Philippines, Samoa, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand & Vietnam. Non-Asian: is any player who is not a native of Asian decent from one of the countries listed above. Mixed-Asian: is considered non-Asian. A mixed-Asian is any player claiming his ethnicity is mixed with Asian decent from one of the countries listed above. A mixed-Asian may gain Asian status by providing the ABA with a copy of his birth certificate and a notarized affidavit of his full ethnicity. Add / Delete player

Only players listed on your team roster are eligible to play. Captain, you may add or delete players to your team roster as often as you want until 10:00pm of the last Monday prior to the start of the season. Simply email us any necessary changes. When adding players remember to include your team name, players full name, age, height & ethnicity. (No nicknames)

 

Jerseys
Each team player is required to wear a matching team colored jersey with a six inch iron on number (single or double digit only) listed on the back side of the jersey. No tape or markers allowed. No duplicate numbers allowed. No three digit numbers allowed. Without a matching team colored jersey you will not play. No exceptions. Players may not switch jerseys with other players during the game. Home / Guest team will be noted on the season schedule. The home team is required to wear the light colored jerseys. The guest team is required to wear the dark colored jerseys.

 

 

 


 

 

Registration Fees

 

Fees due: Forfeit bond is included in registration fee

Early Registration: $450.00 + $30.00 bond = $480.00 registration fee due between July 19th - August 20th, 2010

Mid Registration: $460.00 +  $30.00 bond = $490.00 registration fee due between August 21st - 31st, 2010

Late Registration: $470.00 + $30.00 bond = $500.00 registration fee due between Sept 1st - 13th, 2010

Ref fees: each team is responsible to pay a ref fee of $30.00 in cash at each game to contract one scorekeeper and two refs.

 

Forfeit Bond: If your team does not forfeit any game throughout the seven weeks of the regular season we will credit your forfeit bond of $30.00 towards your ref fee for week eight. If you forfeit any game during the course of the regular season you will forfeit your bond and be required to submit a re-instatement fee of $60.00 before your team is scheduled for any further games.

 

We only accept personal checks or cashier's checks from the following bank institutions:

Note: All other checks received will be mailed back. No exceptions
