Section
1: Eligibility
All players must be 18 years of age or older
to play. Any player under 18 years of age
will be removed from the league / tournament
immediately.
Section 2:
Asian
/ Non-Asian Status
Each team is allowed two Non-Asians. Both
Non-Asians are eligible to play. Any
nationality mixed with 50% of any ethnicity
from the countries listed below under
Section 3 will be considered Asian.
Ethnicity Verification: The
ABA reserves the right to verify any
player's ethnicity at anytime during the
course of the season. The burden of
proof is upon the player in question. A player must submit
his driver's license, state I.D. card or
passport along with a official government
document that identifies his ethnicity. If a
player is unable to verify his ethnicity, he
will be considered non-Asian until proof is
received. The League Director on site will
determine a player's ethnicity based on the
information provided by the player. The
League Director may require additional
information or documents before a decision
is made. All decision by the League Director
is final.
Exception:
Section 2 shall not apply to ABA Sponsors
who enter their own team.
Section
3: Listing of countries
of the ABA
Cambodia, China
(Hong Kong, Marcau, Tibet), (Hawaii & Samoan),
India, Indonesia, Japan, North / South Korea, Laos, Philippines,
Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, USA & Vietnam.

4: Height Restriction:
A 6-foot 2 inch height restriction shall apply to all Non-Asian.

5: Forfeit
/ Points
A
team receiving a win by forfeit will also receive points (current point
average) added to their total season points. Team receiving a forfeit
win during playoffs games will receive a win only.
Section 6: Official Scoring (Discrepancy)
Any discrepancy with the score must be
brought to the attention of the scorekeeper
during the game. Simply ask the scorekeeper
to call an official time-out to check the
score. During the official time out, only
the Coach, Captain or Co-captain may express
their concern about the score to the
scorekeeper. The scorekeeper shall rectify
the score if needed. All scores will be
consider final at the end of regulation.
Section 7:
Playing for (2) or
more teams
A player may choose
to play on more than one team within the same conference/division.
However, if a player playing on more that one team should meet his other
team head to head he is allowed to play for only one team.
Section
6: Team Roster / Verification
Each
team must carry a minimum of 6, to a maximum of 10 players.
Captains shall have until the 10:00pm of the last Monday prior to the
start date of the regular season to add or delete players to their
roster. To add or delete players simply email us any necessary changes.
Remember to include full names along with ages, height and ethnicities.
Only players listed on your team roster are eligible to play. All players
during the regular season and post season
playoffs are required to provide
proof of a picture ID
(such as a state
driver's license, state identification card,
military identification card or school
identification card)
at the request of the League Director or
scorekeeper. Any player who is unable
to provide proper identification
will not be eligible
to play.
Section
9: Protest / Regular Season & Post
Season Tournament
No protest will be
accepted once the clock has expired and the
game is deemed final. However,
at anytime during the game
the
League Director, scorekeeper or
opposing Coach, Captain or Co-Captain
can request the scorekeeper to check the ID
of any player on the opposing team. At the
end of the quarter the scorekeeper will
check the ID of the player in question.
If the player in
question is unable to furnish a picture ID
he will be
removed from the game immediately. If
the player in question is unable to furnish
a picture ID by the end of regulation all
points scored by that player will be
deducted from his team's final score. The
team with the higher score will receive the
win. During the playoffs the team with the
higher score will advance to
the next round.
Section 10: Technical foul,
Un-sportsmanlike act or Flagrant foul
All technical fouls, un-sportsmanlike acts or
flagrant fouls will be reviewed by the ABA
Commissioner.
Refer to game rules, Section 12 under Fouls
& Penalties.
Section
11: Conduct, Players, Coaches & Fans
Coaches and team captains are responsible for the conduct of
themselves as well as their players and fan. If at anytime a coach or
team captain is unable to control themselves or their players or fans
the game shall be immediately stopped and deemed a forfeit.
Section 12: Touching of an
official
If any player
physically touches an official to argue or assaults an official that
player will be permanently suspended from league.
Section
13: Intoxicated / Alcohol
No alcohol of any kind is allowed in the gym. Any player who appears
to be intoxicated with alcohol or any other illegal substance will be
asked to leave the gym immediately. Any player who refuses to leave will
be removed by local police.
Section
14: Fighting
/Taunting / Mocking
No fighting or taunting of any kind is allowed. Players involved in any
fight will be
immediately ejected from the game.
Ejection from the game will result in one or more game suspensions
including possible expulsion from the league/tournament depending on the severity
of the players' actions.
Players may not taunt or mock officials, scorekeepers or other
players during or after the game.
Section
15: Jerseys
All
teams must wear matching colored jerseys with a six inch iron on number
listed on the back side of the jersey. No tape or markers allowed. No
duplicate numbers allowed. No three digit numbers allowed. Each team
will be allowed 1-non jersey. This means a player who forgets his jersey
he may wear a shirt of matching color to his team's jerseys. This
player's number will be referred to as number "0". Players may not
switch jerseys with other players during the game.
Section
16: Blood
If at anytime blood is found on a player, the player must exit the
game immediately. The player may re-enter the game once the bleeding has
been contained and secured and is checked by an official. If blood is
found on a player’s article of clothing, the infected clothing must be
replaced before the player is allowed to re-enter the game.

Uniform
/
Jewelry /
Eye-wear
Before a player is allowed to enter the game he
must be dressed in his team jersey or tee-shirt
that is of matching color to his team's jerseys.
shorts, socks, court shoes (with rubber soles)
intended for the basketball court. Glasses
must also be removed before a player is allowed
to enter the game.
Exception:
a player may wear rubber goggles to protect
their eyes. Goggles must be securely fastened
around the player's head before the player is
allowed to enter the game. All jewelry and head
wear must be removed before a player is allowed
to enter the game. Pants, jeans, sweats, dress
shoes and boots are not allowed.
