Section 1:
Description of service
The
ABA will provide the casual player
like yourself, the opportunity to play in a league setup and organized
like the professional leagues. We will provide
the highest quality indoor courts within our budget, request only experienced
referees and knowledgeable scorekeeper who can control the game
well. During the regular season we provide weekly game stats, season stats, weekly previews, weekly
standings & rosters of each team along with (8) regular season
games + playoff games at the end
of the regular season to qualifying teams. All playoff round is
single elimination.
Section 2:
Age
In
order to play in the ABA or other ABA events all
participants must be 18 years of age
or older.
Section
3: Team Roster
Each team roster is limited to
twelve players. Only players listed on your team
roster are eligible to play. Final team roster is
due by 10:00pm of the last Wednesday prior to the start
of the season listed.
Section 4: Schedule Changes
The ABA reserves the right
to change the season schedule
regarding times, dates and gym location at anytime during the course
of the season. If such changes occur, the ABA will post such changes
on the website. It is the Captain's / Co-Captain's responsibility to
check the website for such changes. Such changes during the season will post under
scores & schedule. As a courtesy the ABA will notify the team
Captain by email of such changes. It is the Captain's /
Co-Captain's responsibility to notify his team players of such changes regarding
changes to the season schedule.
Section 5:
Game Rules & League Rules
As a team
Captain you and your players you are required to abide by our game
rules and league rules at all times during the entire course of the season
including playoffs games and or tournament games.
Section 6:
Division
/
Conference Changes
The ABA reserves the right to move any team from any
division/conference to another at anytime during the regular season
to ensure that each division/conference is
equal in caliber of play.
Section 7:
Smoking / Intoxicated
/
Alcohol
No
smoking or alcohol of any kind is allowed in the gym. Any player who appears
to be intoxicated with alcohol or any other illegal substance will
be asked to leave the gym immediately. Any player who refuses to
leave will be removed by local police.
Section 8: Your Registration Obligation
All information that you provide to the
ABA must be accurate, including your name, your age, your height,
your ethnicity, your telephone number, your cell number, your email
address, your players names, their age, their height and ethnicity.
You are responsible for keeping such information up-to-date and must
provide any changes promptly to the ABA by email.
Section 9: Referee fee
You are responsible to pay a ref fee
of $30.00 at each league game to contract one scorekeeper and two
referees. The ABA does not staff nor contract any scorekeepers or
referees.
Section 10:
Forfeit Bond
You are required to submit a (forfeit bond)
fee of $30.00 along with your registration
fee.
If
your team does not forfeit any game throughout the
seven weeks of the regular season we will credit
$30.00 of your forfeit bond towards your ref fee for
week eight.
** If
you forfeit any game during the course of the regular season due to
"no show", you will forfeit your forfeit bond. In
addition, your team will be removed from the season schedule immediately. You are required to pay a re-instatement
forfeit-bond of
$60.00. Payment must be receive by mail within 96hrs from the
time of the forfeit. Once we receive your re-instatement forfeit-fee
we will re-instate your team onto the season schedule. If payment is not received within
96hrs your
team will be permanently removed from the league. Mail payment payable to

Section 11: Registration Discounts
You are eligible for discounts on your registration fee.
Registration discount fees are based on registration deadlines. To receive any discount you must
submit payment within the time of the deadline stated. Such
discounts will terminate upon the given time stated.
Section 12: Payment Method
Payment
must be received in full by method of check, money order or cashier's
check. Payment is
accepted from the team Captain or Co-Captain only. Check must be
pre-printed with the Captain's or Co-Captain's full name, home
address and home telephone number. Any payment without the proper
information listed will not be accepted.
Section 13:
Receipt of payment
Once your payment is received you will receive
a conformation receipt of payment by email.
Section 14:
Return Check Fee
Returned checks
are subject to a $25.00 return fee by the ABA.
Section 15:
Refund
Only the team Captain can request a refund. In order
to obtain a full refund, the team Captain must submit a request for
a refund by email with their full name along with their team name,
telephone number, cell number and home address to the ABA no later
than 5:00pm of the first Monday prior to the start of the
season/tournament listed. No refund will be given after 5:01pm of the first Monday
prior to the start of the season listed. Captain's who qualify for a refund
will be issued a company check by mail for the full amount paid
within 96hrs.
